House Kosmic Welcome to our House. Kosmic Comics is about one thing—producing the best entertainment in comics, graphic novels and the comics’ related field for you, the audience. Our company places an emphasis on creating comics/graphic novels that are story and character driven, combined with spectacular art work. Our books are unique blends of epic drama and breathtaking visuals providing a feast for the eyes and panoramic delight for the mind. And for those of you who appreciate action in large helpings... well in our house we like it that way too. Kosmic Comics began publishing quality comics since our founding in 1994. It is our mission to “Push entertainment beyond the limits of the imagination”. We believe the best way to achieve this goal is an ongoing commitment to continually produce high quality products, utilizing unique dramatic story lines and dazzling artwork that will engage and meet the needs of you, our audience. Our initial offering as an independent publisher was “Ravager”, which was launched in a 32 page, black and white format in the last quarter of 1995. The book, with a grass roots marketing and released in a limited run, was well received, did well in the direct market. Company’s Founder and Management Kirk Jones has served as Kosmic Comics’ Publisher and President since 1994. Seeing the need for new voices and fresh new ideas in the comic book industry, Kirk founded the independent publishing company. It was his intention that Kosmic Comics would be dedicated to the production of quality comics and graphic novels for the comic book consumers. After researching the audience’s needs and evolved taste, and spending time on the development of the company’s titles and its talent pool, Kosmic has begun its publishing re-launch. What you can expect from our house is pure out-of-this-world entertainment; and to get you started we are bringing you books like Lung-mei; Dragon Current--dynamic, new and vibrant stories, high quality artwork and animated storytelling. The re-launch begins through Kosmic’s new publishing arm, Alpha Kosmic. Kirk Patrick has served as Kosmic Comics’ creative force and writer since the company’s inception in 1994. He has provided the creative direction for Kosmic Comics as well as for the Alpha Kosmic imprint. Well versed in the writing arts, Kirk Patrick is the author of the comic book “Ravager”, and also the author of a number of children’s books, “Tiesha in The Land of Faraway, “Kyrel rode Dragons” and “Kyrel’s Wugga-wheels Wagon-mobile” under the name K.D. Patrick. Due to his experience and aptitude for masterminding large scale creative projects nothing is published through Kosmic Comics or any of its imprints without his creative stamp of approval. His published and upcoming children’s books can be seen at www.koolpress.com . Hugh Rookwood has served as Kosmic Comics’ senior artist since 1998 and as Art Director since 1999. He has spearheaded the company’s art and visual department since that time, making grand strides in the way our products are visually laid out and presented. As Art Director, if Hugh’s exacting visual standards are not met on each and every project then the product has to go back to the drawing board. This multi-talented artist in addition to being an extraordinary comic book genius is also an animator, novel’s cover artist and children’s book illustrator. His wealth of talent has made him [as we here are often told] the perfect and favorite collaborator of Kirk Patrick. Outside of Kosmic both creators continue to collaborate on a number of soon to be released projects.
